happening around me. I have been awake for 20 hours without sleep. Don't
ask me why, I do not know. Let's just call it sleeping disorder.
I reached there first. 2 meters away from my car, and it started to rain. In
less than 30 seconds, it became a downpour. I ran inside to wait for the rest.
Alfred arrived first, followed by Kenny then Sze Chie and Kiki. Kiki? No, don't
ask. I do not know her real name. But her boyfriend's definitely Lala.
I thought of taking pictures of them running soaked and wet. But the
blog's about food. So, too bad.
The place itself.
Located at the same place of Fatty
Loh's Chicken Rice, this western
food outlet is considered to be
1 of the more famous western
food stalls in Penang. There
are other stalls there as well,
but I couldn't be bothered.
Mushroom Soup
Alfred and I ordered this. Taste
very bland. Something like
diluted Campbell's soup mixed
in a very big pot. And there's
that familiar taste you get from
it. The taste you get from Pizza
Hut, Careme's or any place that
cooks their soup in a big giant pot.
Potato Salad
For that cheap price, it's as
close as you can get to a
japanese restaurant's potato
salad. It's really good if you
are into real potato flavour
without those overly sweet
mayo.
Fried Butter Fish
It was average. You can find
this at any of other stalls.
What set it apart is the fresh
fish and the richly minced
onion tartar sauce which goes
smoothly with the fish.
Chicken Cordon Bleu
I had no idea how it taste like.
I'm still new to this food
blogging thing. Didn't really
dare to try Kenny's share.
Looks large in size. Should
be worth while for its price.
Hawaiian Chicken
Your average Hawaiian Chicken
with ham and pineapple. The
melted cheese on top should
set it apart other than the
usual. Oh, did I mention
the fish was fresh and the
tartar sauce was good?
Fettes Park Western Food is a long standing member of the 'elite' western
food stalls in Penang. Its dishes has survived through the years against
all competition and still manage its quality - fresh food, mild flavouring
and those minced onion tartar sauce!!
